Disbound Pamphlet. First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 26p. A near fine copy. One must explain that a disbound pamplet refers to a pamphlet which was removed from a larger volume, probably of pamphlets. It does not mean that the pamphlet itself is disbound or unbound, and in this case the pamphlet is very much together. Washington Lemuel Atlee (1808-1878) was a pioneer in the performance and promotion of ovariotomy. There is a stirring article on him in Kelly and Burrage on pages 46-47.
