A very good copy in the original brown cloth binding which shows bumps and wear at the top forecorners of the covers, some slight wear at the ends of the spine, moderate foxing on the first ten and last ten pages and slight foxing throughout, and the signatures of three former owners on the front endpapers, two of those owners, Selden H. Talcott and R.C. Woodman were homeopathic physicians in Middletown, N.Y. Shew was one of the early advocates of hydropathy in the United States.
